Terms of Service
Last updated: May 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Thren Education, Inc. ("Thren," "we," "us") and govern your use of our websites, learner application, certificate programs, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, enrolling in a program, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Thren offers self-paced certificate programs in practical AI skills, including written lessons, video segments, interactive sandboxes, quizzes, projects, and instructor feedback. We may add, change, or remove programs and features at any time. We try to give meaningful notice for material changes that affect a course you are actively enrolled in.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your password private and notify us immediately at hello@thren.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with anyone else or allow more than one person to use a single account.
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download lesson content, videos, datasets, or sandbox materials, whether manually or with automated tools.
- Republish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute Thren content, in whole or in part, including by feeding it into another model or service for the purpose of recreating it.
- Reverse-engineer the platform or attempt to access systems, accounts, or data you are not authorized to access.
- Submit unlawful, infringing, harassing, or malicious content through any submission, sandbox, or feedback channel.
- Use the Service to build a directly competing course catalog or certificate program.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund where the violation is material.
4. Payment, subscriptions, and refunds
Prices for programs and subscriptions are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period; you can cancel from your account settings before the next renewal to avoid being charged.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy: a fourteen (14) day money-back window from the original purchase date, with the exceptions listed there. Read it before purchasing.
5. Intellectual property
All Thren content — including lessons, videos, written material, code samples, sandboxes, certificate designs, brand assets, and the software that powers the platform — is owned by Thren or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. When you enroll, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the content for your own learning. This licence ends when your account ends.
You retain ownership of anything you submit (assignments, sandbox code, written answers, feedback). By submitting it you grant Thren a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and process your submissions for the purpose of operating the Service, providing instructor feedback, and improving the product. We will not publicly publish identifiable student work without your permission.
6. Certificates
Certificates are issued upon successful completion of a program. They certify your completion of the listed coursework; they are not academic degrees, professional licences, or accreditations. We may revoke a certificate if it was obtained by fraud or in material violation of these Terms.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, Microsoft Azure for hosting and Stripe for payments). Your use of those providers through Thren is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or losses caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that any specific career or income outcome will result from completing a program, or that the Service will be free of errors or interruptions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thren and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Thren in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Thren harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party right.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if continued provision becomes commercially impracticable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you and Thren consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts. The parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith for thirty (30) days before initiating formal proceedings.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify active account holders by email or in-product banner at least seven (7) days before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
